About the opportunity
As a non-profit making organisation, we have been granted a considerable Google Adwords advertising grant, which we currently are not using to its best. We are trying to increase exposure to the Garden not so much as a visitor destination, but as a venue for events, an organisation looking for volunteers, and as a cause looking for donations.
You will be working as part of a smaller sub-team to the main committee, which will be made up of (we hope!) an SEO/Content Specialist, Social/Email Marketeer, and the website lead who is responsible for leading campaigns and reporting back to the committee once a month.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who already has experience of running adwords campaigns with clear, measurable goals. As part of the web marketing team, you will not need to (necessarily, though you are invited) attend committee meetings, however you will ideally be available to meet regularly in York with the other members of our marketing team.
You will have a keen eye for identifying high-volume, low-competition keywords which will drive visitors to the appropriate sections of the site, as well as possessing an understanding of running split-testing in campaigns to work out what works for us.
You will also need to be able to produce reports on how campaigns are going.
Ideally, you will -
1. Live close to York - your work will predominantly be remote in nature, but we want to be able to organise regular get meet-ups between the marking sub-team to organise our priorities and report back on progress.
2. Have a thorough understanding of Adwords best practice, ideally currently be working in a similar role.
3. Be imaginative and creative - much of what you will be doing will be based on what you think will best achieve our goals, so you will have a good deal of autonomy.
