Following on from the success of A Midsummer Night’s Dream last year, Not Cricket bring another classic Shakespearean comedy to Yorkshire. Set in 1918, Much Ado About Nothing places this well-loved tale of young love and betrayal amidst the return of troops from the First World War. With angry siblings, match-making soldiers and an incompetent policeman or two, this witty story is fun, silly and serious by turns. Expect suffragettes, awkward disguises, and catchy wartime tunes; the perfect way to spend an English summer evening.
Please note: this show is performed outside, please dress appropriately for the weather and bring rugs or chairs. Picnics welcome. If you need a chair providing please contact Alex (firstname.lastname@example.org) in advance to organise one.
